About Me

I've always been an investigator. Psychology was not my first career, but it was a natural progression that stemmed from my own quest for self understanding and authenticity. I was first a journalist and contributed to Seattle area publications like The Stranger, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, West Seattle Blog, as well as a few lifestyle magazines in California.

My clinical experience includes working in university counseling centers, residential treatment for eating disorders and community mental health facilities. My professional experience has also allowed me some incredible opportunities to work in management and compliance within mental health.  I have been a champion for health care reform and have spent some years helping organizations like Planned Parenthood and Sound Mental Health adapt to the Affordable Care Act and increase access to care for many people seeking health services.

I'm a Seattle area native and proud graduate of South Seattle Community College. I went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in journalism from Seattle University, and a master's degree in clinical psychology from The Washington School of Professional Psychology.

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy taking a dance class or yoga, listening to pop culture podcasts, watching a good documentary, and I am an enthusiastic patron of the performing arts.
